On May 20, 2022, ETH Shangai Summit, hosted by the ETH Shanghai Preparatory Committee, co-organized by the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (“China Green Development Council”), Business China, and ChainIDE, the Web3.0 Developer Summit was successfully held on multiple online platforms including WeChat and YouTube.

Focusing on the theme of “The Impact of Web 3.0 on the Future Network World Pattern”, the summit invited a number of important guests from the political, business, and academic circles at home and abroad, including Li Yixian, Chairman of Business China, and Mr. Terry Branstad, former US Ambassador to China ( Terry Branstad), Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, vice chairman and secretary-general of China Green Development Council, Chen Peiling, president of Business China, Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys, Yan Han, founder of Mask Network, and Wu Xiao, CEO of White Matrix Technology Co., Ltd. and founder of ChainIDE, attended the summit.

Subsequently, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin gave a keynote speech on the topic “What’s new in Ethereum?”. In addition to analyzing the current technical advantages and future development direction of Ethereum, Buterin, who has an indissoluble bond with Shanghai, also shared his optimism about the future path of Ethereum Shanghai. “Shanghai is the city where I have spent the most time in China, and I have many good friends here. Shanghai has been involved in the development of Ethereum a long time ago, and it also has a very good Ethereum community and projects. I look forward to seeing more in the future.
